Winter on Mount Rainier

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and has a healthy and prosperous New Year in 2010~ My wool creations that I gave as gifts this year were all very appreciated and that made me feel amazing! Here is my first new design for the new year, hope you enjoy it! My version of Mount Rainier, and you can purchase it right here just click on the BUY NOW Paypal button under the painting on the left. This painting is beautiful, I created the Mountain to "stand out" from the painting, so this is not a flat painting.
I also do custom work so please feel free to ask me if there is something that you would like created!

The Wool Portrait is also finished and ready to go on Christmas! Hoping my son loves it, I am thinking he will!!

Sheep Design Handbag!

I just had to test my skills that have been dormant for a time, especially when I saw this fabric, since I work with sheeps wool roving to create my sculptures I just had to turn this lovely fabric into a handbag! You can find it in my Etsy shop for sale at www.InspirationByKaren.etsy.com

Bouvier des Flandres in Wool

Grizzly Bear in wool

I made this Grizzly Bear last year while my son was on vacation in Montana, it seemed appropriate seeing how he was photographing them in their wild habitat!

Bluebird on a handbag

I knitted this gorgeous handbag and then needle felted my own design of an Adirondack Bluebird on a fence post on the front, it can be found in my Etsy shop

Needle Felted Great White Heron on felted handbag

This handbag was given to me as a gift, so I was inspired to needle felt my own design on it, here is what I did!

Adirondack Wooldland Tree

I enjoyed creating this Adirondack Woodland needle felted tree! many years ago I was hiking with my young sons in the woods of the Adirondacks, and we came upon a tree that was actually growing out of the stump of another tree that had been cut by loggers, and beside it, was a little den with rabbits living in it. The other morning I woke up very early and suddenly got this picture in my mind and knew I needed to felt it somehow. This is my version of the tree we saw that day deep in the woods. I hope you enjoy looking~
