Needle Felted Great White Heron on felted handbag

This handbag was given to me as a gift, so I was inspired to needle felt my own design on it, here is what I did!

Adirondack Wooldland Tree

I enjoyed creating this Adirondack Woodland needle felted tree! many years ago I was hiking with my young sons in the woods of the Adirondacks, and we came upon a tree that was actually growing out of the stump of another tree that had been cut by loggers, and beside it, was a little den with rabbits living in it. The other morning I woke up very early and suddenly got this picture in my mind and knew I needed to felt it somehow. This is my version of the tree we saw that day deep in the woods. I hope you enjoy looking~
